Motions studies and striking while the iron is hot.

Here are some motion studies of a previous character I did.  She isn’t part of any story arc I’m working on. She’s a chick with a big sword and I literally just needed to get that out of my system.

I’ve recently had some discussions about getting your ideas on paper immediately and not letting them ferment too long before they lose their luster and energy. By that point it might even feel like you are working on someone else’s idea depending on how long you let it sit in your brain-bone for. Capturing that energy in the moment is half the effort in making your work feel alive and fresh on the page and not just to your audience.   It’s the worst kind of temperament to be bored with something you haven’t even created yet. Ideas, in a sense, can be total divas that way.

Cheers
